THE YANKEES LOSE TWO IN A ROW TO ROYALS .. TORRE PANICS …

The Yankees are the team built to conquer the Major League. With their sky high payroll it would seem unlikely they’d have trouble with a small market team like Kansas City, but trouble they have had. The Yankees have lost two in a row to the Royals.

The loss was the first by Randy Johnson to a Royals team in close to 20 starts.

Joe Torre was so upset he closed the clubhouse after the game. One can only imagine what was said.

The Kansas City crowd showed up for the game with attendance at 25,590. What they say was a pitching performance by the Royals that shut the Yankees down.

The clubhouse shutdown didn’t work as the Yankees lost to the Royals again on Thursday night. It was only the third time ever that the Yankees have been swept by the worst team in baseball. It happens in 2000 with Detroit and way back in 1937 with the Philadelphia As.

The Yankees payroll is $200 million dollars compared to the Royals $40 million payroll.
