In what is clearly a blow to Mike Davis and the Indiana basketball program, Pat Ewing, Jr. is transferring to Georgetown. Although Ewing wasn’t a regular contributor it doesn’t speak well to Mike Davis’ ability to keep players.
Pat Ewing, Jr. didn’t give a specific reason for transferring, he did mention it was due to educational opportunities and his basketball career.
While at Indiana Pat Ewing Jr. played 16 minutes a game and averaged 4 points per game. His defensive skill is above average and will be missed on this Indiana team.
Pat Ewing, Jr.’s father said:
I’m excited. It’s a great place for him to be and not just because I went there. The coaches love him and want him to play for them.
I think that classifies as a dig on Mike Davis.
The University of Indiana sports and Georgetown sports sites had no releases yet.
