NFL WORKING BETTER WITH CONGRESS THAN MLB

The NFL seems to be reacting to the harsh treatment MLB received from Congress when asked for documents. The NFL was able to submit the requested documents to Congress by the deadline without any issues.

The NFL turned over all documents that Congress requested, which is more than the MLB did.

Congress responded dryly:

This afternoon the Government Reform Committee received documents from the NFL in response to our request for information about the league’s steroid-testing policies. We appreciate Commissioner Tagliabue and the NFL’s cooperation on this important public health issue. The Committee’s investigators have started to review these documents. We will withhold comment on the documents until that review is complete.

I guess you can call that good. The important thing is that the NFL is cooperating with Congress.
