One of the most guarded secrets in NCAA football has been the coaches poll. Who votes for what team? When did they vote for them? Well, the veil of secrecy is being lifted
Starting next year the final coaches poll of the year will be made public.
Grant Teaff, executive director of the American Football Coaches Association said:
“Our coaches were under no obligation to do this. The good news is that somebody out there thinks that transparency is good for the system and our coaches said ‘OK we hear you and we’re going to join in and do our part.'”
This is great news especially since the Bowl Championship Series will be leaning heavily on the coaches poll as the Associated Press pulled their poll.
