MIKE PRICE VINDICATED AGAINST RUMORS OF DRINKING AND PARTYING

Mike Price was flying high. He was taking over the University of Alabama and things couldn’t have been better. Then Mike Price’s world came tumbling down as an article for Sports Illustrated broke. The article detailed a drinking and having fun at a strip club. Shortly after it came out Mike Price lost his job.

Today Mike Price was vindicated as he settled a lawsuit against Time, Inc. He had originally sued for $20 million dollars, but the settlement price wasn’t disclosed.

Price, who is now head coach at the University of Texas El Paso had a few things to say:

I’m one happy man right now. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated my wife, Joyce, and my family’s loyalty and love. Without their strength, encouragement and support I don’t know if I would have made it.

I definitely would have made a different decision that one night, no question. That was a bad night.

This is good news for publications that get their information from confidential sources in hopes of ruining someone’s career.
