Marcus Vick was named the starter for the Virginia Tech Hokies. Marcus Vick started number three on the depth chart, but moved ahead of Sean Glennon and Cory Holt to start.
Marcus spent the entire 2004 season off the team due to off the field problems. That’s a euphemism for reckless driving and marijuana possession. He was allowed to come back to the school in January of 2005.
If you look at Marcus Vick’s biography on the Virginia Tech site you’ll find no mention of these issues. In fact it’s pretty flattering:
