The Cincinnati Reds have a long history of great baseball and hall of fame players. Eric Davis and Jose Rijo were added to the Cincinnati Reds hall of fame on June 11, 2005.
Eric Davis and Jose Rijo were Cincinnati Reds players that helped their team sweep the Oakland As in the 1990 world series. They were inducted to the Cincinnati Reds hall of fame.
Jose Rijo said about Eric Davis:
The only guy that I really had that motivated me, that would buy me stuff, that would cut my hair, was Eric Davis I’m very fortunate to have him next to me.
Both Eric Davis and Jose Rijo made great combebacks in their careers. Eric Davis came back from a herniated neck and colon cancer, while Jose Rijo made it back from multiple elbow surgeries.

I’ve been operated on 13 times, so I know what he’s been through.
Jose Rijo said:
I might not have a chance to make it to the real Hall of Fame, but I really don’t care.
