BOB CASEY – MINNESOTA TWINS PA ANNOUNCER DIES – 79 YEARS OLD

Can you imagine watching 44 seasons of baseball and watching every game? Every pitch? Every win and loss? Bob Casey did and he passed away Sunday.

Bob Casey worked for the Minnesota Twins for 44 seasons and more than 3,000 games. Bob Casey’s delivery was smooth and his noted taglines were the pronunciations of the players.

In January Bob Casey came out of the hospital and said:

  • “It’s been a rough two months and it ain’t over yet. I’m going to try to get to spring training and see how strong I am.”

His family said he’d been battling liver cancer.

Bob Casey delivered Kirby Puckett’s induction speech in 2001.
