- 2 pounds veal steak
- 3 tablespoons fat, melted
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon minced onion
- 1/2 pound small mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter for sauteing
- 1 teaspoon salt
Cut veal into cubes and brown in fat in frying pan. Remove meat to baking dish which has a lid, and stir flour into fat remaining in the spider. When smooth, add sour cream, stirring until thick. Meanwhile simmer mushrooms and minced onion in the butter for 5 minutes. Add to sauce with the salt. Pour sauce over veal, cover and bake in 325 oven for about 1 hour, or until veal is tender. Serves 6.
