Triple Bean Salad Recipe

  • 1 package (10 ozs) frozen cut green beans
  • 1 can (1 lb) red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can (15 7/s ozs) wax beans, drained
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup liquid drained from sweet pickles or relish
  • 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions

Cook green beans according to directions on package. Drain and chill.

Combine the three kinds of beans in a large bowl. Combine all remaining ingredients and pour over the beans. Mix lightly. Cover and keep in refrigerator at least 6 hours before serving. Serve in a lettuce-lined bowl. Garnish with rings of green pepper or onion, if desired.

Yield’: 8 servings.
