Stuffed Ham Roll Recipe

  • 1 slice ham, 1 inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cups soft breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground sage
  • 1 cup hot water

Saute onion in the butter until golden brown. Add crumbs and seasonings. Stir until crumbs are well coated with the melted butter. Spread crumb mixture on the ham slice, roll it lengthwise and tie with string.

Place in baking dish which has a lid. Add the water and cover. Bake in 350 oven until ham is tender, about 1 1/2 hours. Serves 5 to 6.
