Spicy Apricot Ring Recipe

  • 1 can (1 lb, 13 ozs) apricot halves
  • 1 stick (3 ins) cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon whole allspice
  • 1 package (3 ozs) lemon-flavored gelatin

Drain sirup from apricots into a saucepan. Add cinnamon, cloves, and allspice to sirup; simmer 3 minutes. Strain. Add enough water to make 2 cups liquid. Heat to boiling. Add gelatin and stir to dissolve.

Arrange apricot halves to cover bottom of 1quart, 9-inch ring mold. Add just enough gelatin syrup to cover. Chill in refrigerator until set. Add to the mold remaining apricots and sirup. Chill again until set.

Unmold on flat serving plate just before servingĀ  Yield: 6 to.8 servings.
