- 1/2 pound sausage meat
- 1/2 role for Buttermilk Biscuits
Form sausage meat into small rolls, about the size of one’s little finger. Fry until well browned, turning frequently. Remove from pan and drain well. Roll out biscuit dough to about 1/4 inch thick and cut in small squares about 2 1/2 x 2 1/2.
Place a sausage roll on edge of each square and roll. Do not pinch ends of roll together, but press overlapping edge of dough in place firmly. Place on greased pan and bake in 400 oven for about 15 minutes, or until crisp and brown.
These crusty little brown rolls can be eaten with the fingers and are a delicious accompaniment to scrambled eggs.
