Salmon Chowder Recipe

  • 1 tall can salmon
  • 3 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 medium onions, peeled and chopped fine
  • 3 tablespoons flour pinch of pepper
  • 3 cups milk

Add the salt to the boiling water. Cook potatoes until tender in the boiling water. Melt butter in bottom of heavy kettle, add onions and cook gently until tender.

Stir in flour and pepper, then add the potatoes with their boiling water. Simmer all together for about 15 minutes. Remove skin and bones from salmon and add.

Add milk, bring to boiling point and serve. Will serve 6.
