Rules for musical chairs. A party game for children or adults
Any number can play. Supply a lightweight chair for each player except one; stand the chairs in two rows, back to back. To the accompaniment oaf rollicking tune, have the players march around and around the rows of chairs. Stop the music suddenly, where upon everyone must rush for a seat.
The person left standing is out and must leave the circle, taking one chair away with him. Repeat until only two players and one chair remain. The player who captures the last chair is the winner. Adults sometimes play a version of the game called musical laps: the men sit in the chairs and the women sit on their laps, or vice versa.
