- 2 eggs
- 1 cup bread crumbs (3 slices white bread)
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 pounds (3 cups) ground ham
- 1/2 pound (1 cup) ground beef
- 1/2 pound (1 cup) ground pork
- 1 can (131/2 ozs) pineapple chunks, drained
- Whole cloves
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Beat eggs slightly, with a fork, in a large mixing bowl. Add crumbs, mustard, onion, parsley, milk, and Worcestershire sauce. Beat to blend. Add ham, beef, and pork; mix until blended. (Use hands if necessary.) Pack mixture into a 3-quart casserole. Arrange pineapple chunks over surface; insert a whole clove in each chunk. Sprinkle top with brown sugar. Bake in a moderate oven (350F) 1%2 hours. Serve hot with Whipped Cream Horseradish Sauce. Yield: 10 servings.
