Green Beans In Cheese Sauce Recipe

  • 2 packages (10 ozs each) frozen green beans
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheese food or Cheddar cheese

Cook beans according to directions on package until almost tender. Drain. Place in a 2 quart casserole.

Melt butter in a skillet or saucepan. Add flour and stir until blended. Add milk gradually; cook and stir until thickened. Add paprika, garlic salt, and cheese. Heat until cheese is melted.

Pour cheese sauce over beans. Sprinkle with paprika, if desired. Keep hot in a slow oven (325°F) until ready to serve.

Yield: 8 servings.
