- 2 packages (10 ozs each) French-cut green beans
- 1 can (4 ozs) mushroom pieces, drained (optional)
- 1/2 cup sliced green onions
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dairy sour cream
- 1 cup buttered cracker or bread crumbs Paprika
Cook beans according to directions on package, until barely tender. Drain and place in bottom of 2-quart casserole.
Pan-fry mushrooms and onions in butter in a skillet for 1 minute. Add flour and salt; stir to blend. Add sour cream. Heat just until hot. Pour over beans. Top with crumbs. Sprinkle paprika over top. Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) 20 minutes, or until bubbly. Serve hot.
Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
