Chocolate Sour Cream Silk Pie Recipe

  • 1 stick ( 1/2 cup) butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 square (1 oz) unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 baked 8-inch pastry shell
  • 1/2 cup dairy sour cream
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans

Use an electric mixer for this recipe. Place butter in a 1 1/2-quart mixing bowl and beat until creamy. Add sugar and beat until light. Beat in melted chocolate and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating 5 minutes after each addition. Pour into the baked pastry shell.

Chill in refrigerator about 1 hour. Spread sour cream over surface; sprinkle with chopped nuts. Serve cold.

Yield: 6 servings.
