chicken baked in sour cream recipe

  • 1 2 1/2-to-3-pound chicken, cut into 8 serving pieces
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 3 teaspoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk

Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika. Brown in butter. Place in shallow baking dish and cover with combined onions, sour cream, and milk.

Bake in preheated 350°F. oven for 35 minutes or until chicken is tender. If sour cream has thickened too much, add a little extra milk and stir with whisk before serving.

Serves 4.
