Beef Dressing Casserole Recipe

  • 1 sm, onion, minced
  • c. minced celery leaves
  • 2 tsp, salt
  • I tsp, poultry seasoning
  • 12 slices dry bread, cut into 1/2-in. cubes
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Mix onion, celery, 1 teaspoon salt, poultry seasoning and cubed bread. Blend 1 can of undiluted soup with milk. Mix gently with bread mixture. Cover; refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Mix meat, mustard, remaining salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Add bread mixture; mix thoroughly.

Turn into a 13 x 19-inch baking pan. Spread 1 can undiluted soup on top. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour.

Yield: 16 servings.
