One dish casserole recipe

ONE-DISH MEAL CASSEROLE
1 lb. hamburger

1 tbsp, butter

2 c. sliced raw potatoes

1/2 c. chopped onion

1 c. sliced carrots

1/2 c. uncooked rice

1/4 c. chopped green pepper (opt.)

2 c. tomatoes

1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

1 c. hot water

Brown hamburger in butter. Place a layer of meat in 2-quart casserole. Top with a layer of each vegetable and rice.

Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour hot water over all. Cover. Bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours. Add more water if needed.

Yield: 6-8 servings.
